Awarded to a faculty member within eight years of his or her initial appointment who has made significant discoveries or advancements in his or her research, visibly impacting society or one or more scholarly communities.
Nomination process: 
Only one nomination per individual per year. There is no limit to the number of nominations from any individual unit, but all nominations will be vetted for endorsement by the by the appropriate dean, IRI director or other executive.
