Lula Baker, HR Manager
As an HR partner, Lula manages the daily operations of human resources for the Office of the Provost. She consults with unit leaders, staff, and faculty on human resources matters that include employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and leave administration.
Tammy Benjamin, Financial Manager II
Tammy serves as the department administrator for the Institute's financial systems, monitoring and ensuring proper recording of Office of the Provost financial transactions. She also generates financial reports and advises management regarding financial status, oversees unit budget administration and coordination, including budget amendments, coordinates and facilitates audits of financial practices and records, provides financial support to the vice provost financial teams, and monitors the fiscal year-end closing for the units.
Robbie Burr, Executive Assistant to the Provost
Robbie is part of the executive administrative team for the Office of the Provost and provides direct support to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. She is the first point of contact for the leadership office and performs a wide range of high-level administrative functions. Robbie’s responsibilities include managing the schedule, travel, and incoming communication.
Brandi Foley-Rodgers, SHRM-SCP, Director, Human Resources
As a strategic HR partner, Brandi consults with unit leaders, staff, and faculty on comprehensive human resources matters that include complex employee relations, talent acquisition, total compensation, organizational development, change management, leave administration, and learning and development.
Emily Howell, Senior Director of Financial Administration
Emily is the senior director of Financial Administration for both the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Executive Vice President of Research (EVPR). She leads a team responsible for the financial support for the Provost and EVPR, as well as academic and research units across campus. Emily's 20-year career at Georgia Tech includes service to central administration and, most recently, the College of Engineering.
Karla Huie, Administrative Professional Sr.
Karla assists with the Institute’s Strategic Plan Advisory Group (SPAG) bridging funding concepts to Georgia Tech’s Strategic Plan, routing of the Office of the Provost mail, event planning support, as well as multiple administrative processes support.
Susie Ivy, Assistant Director, Leadership Communications | Institute Communications
As part of Institute Leadership Communications, Susie provides strategic communications support for the Office of the Provost including preparation of executive speeches and presentations, development of OOP news items and announcements, management of the executive e-newsletter, blog, and website, and strategic communications support for various executive events, task forces, and working groups.
Brandon Mansmann, HR Coordinator
Brandon provides professional level support of human resources functions within the Office of the Provost. This includes serving as information resource on human resources related processes and procedures as well as the initiation and processing of HR documentation.
Mary Thomas, Program Manager
Mary provides administrative support to the Associate Provost for Operations including the coordination of the Institute and Board of Regents (BOR) process for establishing endowed faculty positions, maintains related print and electronic files, including a specialized database, prepares correspondence, and tracks activity. Mary also provides administrative support for executive level searches, and organizes the weekly meetings for the Deans and/or Vice Provosts.
Cara-Joy Wong, Project Support Specialist Senior
Cara-Joy manages and directs special projects within the Office of the Provost including executive leadership programs, special events, and initiatives.
