The Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications and nominations for the position of vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development (VPGEFD). Reporting to the provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, the VPGEFD is responsible for ensuring the quality and relevance of graduate education and the academic success of graduate students, and for supporting the interests of faculty members and post-doctoral fellows. The VPGEFD will also serve on the president’s Cabinet.
Nominations and Applications
Applications will be accepted from tenured members of the faculty of Georgia Tech. Complete applications should include:
- Cover letter that outlines the applicant’s approach to ensuring the quality and relevance of graduate education; the academic success of graduate students; fostering innovation and excellence in instruction; support and advocate for the interests of faculty and post-doctoral fellows, and leading in related policies and processes.
- Full and current Curriculum Vitae
- List of five internal and external references with contact information
While applications and nominations will be received until the vice provost is selected, interested parties are encouraged to submit their materials no later than April 17, 2017 to assure optimal consideration.
